How do I login to Simulation World for full access to the event?

Once you are registered, please click “Register/Login” from www.simulationworld.com. In the pop-up, please enter the email address you used to register for the event. Once you are logged in you will have full access to the agenda, sessions (beginning May 18), and networking community. If you have any issues logging in, please contact simulationworld@ansys.com for assistance.

Will Simulation World be available on demand?

Yes, Simulation World will be available for continued on demand viewing for 6 months after the May 18 live event. On demand content will be available later that same day. Some sessions, however, are not available on demand so do make note of those indicating live viewing only and adjust your viewing plans to ensure you see all the sessions of interest.

What are the dates and details of the other Simulation World 2022: A Global Simulation Conference Series events?

There will be several Asia Pacific regional Simulation World conferences in the second half of the year. Simulation World events in China and Japan will be held in September and Simulation World events in Korea and Taiwan will be in October. More information will be available about this on ansys.com and simulationword.com over the coming months.

What browser do you recommend for accessing the event? Can I access the event on a VPN?

Chrome and Firefox are the recommended platforms for accessing the event software. We do not recommend accessing the platform while on VPN. A VPN will block certain areas of the platform for access. If you have issues logging in or viewing sessions please ensure you don’t have a network firewall preventing streaming service playback or popups blocked. If you are having trouble in a browser it is recommended to try a different browser as a troubleshooting mechanism.

I have already logged in but I am still having issues. What do you recommend?

If you are using the recommended browser and are not on a VPN, we recommend clearing your browser cache and history and trying to login again. If you continue to have trouble logging in, please contact simulationworld@ansys.com for assistance before or after May 18. During the live event you may contact the Help Desk on the bottom right corner of your screen to live chat with a team member. This desk is indicated with a “?” icon.

Does Simulation World offer continuing education credits or attendance certificates?

Continuing education certificates or credits are not available for attending Simulation World. Dur to the long term availability of the event on demand and the self-navigated session viewing, attendance certificates are not able to be provided. You may, however, use your “My Interests” bookmarked sessions, Community conversations, registration confirmation as references of participation.

Can I access and view all of the sessions of the Simulation World conference?

With your conference registration, you can access all of the sessions listed in the agenda at Simulation World. Please note there are a few sessions that will only be offered live and will not be available on demand. Select additional private programming is planned for select audiences. If you have been invited to one of these, you will find the session already saved in your My Interests section of the agenda.

How do I join and view a session?

From the agenda view, click on the session title to open and join the presentation. The presentation will automatically begin to play at the scheduled time. If it does not automatically begin refresh your browser screen. Please note that sessions will not play until the time noted. Sessions will appear for on demand viewings about 1 hour after the session ends. On demand videos can be played by clicking the play icon on logo image within the session.

If I am early to a session, what do I do?

If you enter a session early, you will see a countdown timer indicating when the session will begin. If the countdown timer expires and the session does not automatically play, refresh your browser.

How can I build my own agenda?

From the “Schedule” page (accessible through top navigation or landing page button) you may choose to view sessions within a specific track or the entire conference agenda. From the agenda, you can click the star icon next to the session name to bookmark the session. Once you select the star, your sessions will appear under the tab “My Interests” from the sessions schedule. From within the agenda you can expand or narrow the session list through the “Filters” button at the top of the page to view other tracks, sessions my interest area or time. Remember to clear filters when viewing My Interests if you want to see all sessions you’ve bookmarked.

Can I save my bookmarked sessions to my calendar?

Yes, from within “My Interests” area you may view your bookmarked sessions. In each session there is a button at the top to save to calendar. Do be aware that from your calendar you may not be able to join the session directly as you must be logged in at simulationworld.com to view sessions. If you are already logged in, links from your calendar should redirect to the session.

Are presentations or slides available for download?

Presentations are available for viewing only through simulationworld.com during the live event and on demand period. You may return and watch sessions again or view those you may have missed the first time you joined. However, presentations are not available for download or individual use. Materials making up the presentation (slides, videos, etc) are not permitted for distribution by Simulation World. Sharing of this content is at the discretion of the presenter. You may reach out to a speaker through the Community, however, if you are interested in obtaining any of their material.

Are speakers available to answer questions live?

Due to the global breadth of speakers and attendees, not all presenters are able to join the session for Q&A. If a speaker has joined and will be answering questions, you’ll find a Q&A panel available in the session. Otherwise, all sessions will have a discussion board where attendees may engage and chat about the presentation. Any specific questions will be collected and shared with presenters to answer privately at their discretion.

How do I complete my profile?

First, login through simulationworld.com. Once you login, navigate to the picture icon in the top right corner of the page. Click “Edit Profile.” You will then be prompted to provide your contact information and a photo. This information will appear in our networking community.

Do I need to download any video software to watch the sessions?

No, you do not need to download any video software to view the Simulation World sessions or to access the event platform.

Can I access the event via a mobile device?

While you can access the event via a mobile device, not all features can be utilized with a mobile device and presentation streaming may be difficult to view content. We recommend attending this virtual event on a desktop or laptop computer.

What is the “community”?

The community is a networking area of the virtual event. In the community, you can see and search for other attendees and send direct messages to them within the platform.

How do I leave the “community”?

Once you are logged in, click on your profile in the top right-hand corner of the page. You will see a dropdown with the options “Edit Profile”, “Settings”, “Invite Friends”, “Leave Community”, and “Sign Out”. Click on “Leave Community” to remove your profile from the community. This action does not remove you from access to the virtual event. Please note that you can also click on “Settings” to modify notifications and viewing settings within the community.

Where can I access messages from community members?

You can review any messages you receive by clicking on the mail icon next to your profile in the upper right-hand corner.
